The World I Would Like to Live In

Essay Guidelines

The essay should be around 2000 words, to be submitted in word document or pdf. The competition is open to all. We encourage submissions from high school as well as college and university students. Please mention your grade, if you are a school student. Please provide your name, address, e-mail, and phone number along with the submission.

Assessment Criteria

Your essay must be original and must not be published anywhere. Essays must provide references of sources cited. Entries will be assessed on clear expression of ideas as well as logical layout of arguments.

Announcement of Winning Submissions

Winning entries will be announced during The Great India Festival, August 9, 10, 11 – 2019. Authors of the winning submissions will receive prizes and their submissions may be published in local newspapers and posted on the website. There will be 2 prizes for school students (grade 12 or lower) and 2 prizes for the rest, for a total of 4 prizes. The first prize will be a cash award for $200, and the second prize will be a cash award for $100 – in each category.
